Nathan's Clinic Appointment

Friday was Nathan's clinic appointment and spinal tap. We arrived early and he was triaged and had his IV placed right away. They told us that the surgery center (right next door) had called in people just for the oncology patients so we were going to be able to get right in! Nathan wasn't too happy, he really wanted to play first! Anyway, his counts were good, they upped his steroid meds and his methotrexate! Just what we wanted to hear! He's a mess on those steroids already, increasing the dosage can't be a good thing! After the spinal, he woke up very quickly and he was miserable! It took quite awhile for him to come out the grumpies! :) The mood swings have been unbelievably bad!!!!! We have to keep telling ourselves, it's not him, it's the medicine!!! But at the same time, we need to correct him when he is in the wrong, even if it's caused by the meds! It's so hard and frustrating!

My mom came in to town on Saturday and she is here till Sunday! We are missing my dad! He had to stay in Ohio for work. Monday, all 3 boys stayed home from school and we went to the beach! Yes, it was cold out! Yes, it was windy! Yes, it was even rainy!!!! But we went anyway! The boys had a blast! It was the shortest beach trip! I think we were only on the beach for about an hour and a half! lol! But, I got some really great pictures and found a new location! I'm not telling where though :)!

On the way home, we saw a turtle in the field behind our house!

Saturday is the Alex's Lemonade Stand at the Minotola Fire Hall on Wheat Road! You should plan on stopping by! There will be lemonade, lots of food & baked goodies, as well as a Chinese basket auction! They will be honoring Nathan and another child that day! Come on out for a day of fun and show your support!
